AI Transparency
1. Transparency About the Use of Artificial Intelligence
BookDrop creates all delivered content fully automatically using generative AI. This page provides information on the use of artificial intelligence pursuant to Article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (AI Act).
2. AI Systems Used
For images such as covers and A+ graphics, we use GPT-Image by OpenAI. For texts and analyses, we use Claude by Anthropic. Additional language and image models, including GLM by Zhipu AI and Gemini by Google, are used via the OpenRouter platform.
3. What Is AI-Generated at BookDrop
A+ marketing images are fully AI-generated and created automatically, without individual human review.
Book covers are fully AI-generated and created automatically, without individual human review.
Interior book layouts, including graphics, are fully AI-generated and created automatically, without individual human review.
Strategy reports are fully AI-generated and created automatically, without individual human review.
Marketplace manuscripts are created entirely by AI; topic selection, conception and approval are carried out by BookDrop.
Pursuant to § 7 of our Terms and Conditions, customers are obliged to review all delivered content on their own responsibility before publication.
4. Labelling
Content is disclosed to customers as AI-generated via this page, the product pages and the Terms and Conditions. An additional machine-readable label in the metadata of the delivered files, pursuant to Article 50 (2) of the AI Act, will be rolled out by December 2026.
5. Your Obligations When Publishing on Amazon KDP
Amazon requires an internal declaration at upload as to whether content is AI-generated. For BookDrop content, the following applies: text and images must each be declared as "AI-generated", even if you edit them yourself. Only pure AI assistance, such as brainstorming or proofreading, would be "AI-assisted". The declaration is made in the KDP form in the content section and does not appear publicly on the product page. False declarations can lead to the removal of the book or to account suspension by Amazon.
